Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) have banned
for three months fifteen out of the 20 radio stations and one out of six
Television stations till have paid their dues.

Communications TCRA said Radio and TV stations that would have not paid their
licence fees and meet other conditions set by the TCRA by the end of 18 January
2016, their frequency will be terminated until the payments are made. He said, “I
am happy to say that more and more broadcasting stations are making the
payments”

Banned radio stations in Tanzania
The radio stations that are under
the ban include; Kiss FM, Radio Free Africa, Sibuka FM, Uhuru FM, Radio Five,
Breeze FM, Country FM, Ebony FM, Generation FM, Kili Fm, Kitulo FM, Huruma
Radio, Rock FM, Standard FM, Top Radio, Ulanga FM, Hot FM, Impact FM, Kifimbo
FM and Pride FM.
Banned Television stations in Tanzania
Television stations include Star TV, Sumbawanga Municipal TV,
Tanga City TV, Iringa TV, Musa Television Network and Mbeya City TV.
