Xavi
has hailed the talents of David
Silva and Santi Cazorla, admitting he
would love to play alongside them at Barcelona.
The two midfielders have impressed for Manchester City and Arsenal, respectively, this season, with Silva contributing six goals and two assists and Cazorla with five goals and four assists.
Cazorla scored one and assisted another in his side's 2-0 win over the Premier League champions on Sunday, and Xavi - who has played alongside both for the Spain national team - feels the pair would fit in well at Camp Nou.
When asked who he would like to sign for Barcelona, Xavi told AS: "Silva [and] Cazorla... there is some great current talent in Spanish football that I’d sign for Barcelona."
Silva and Xavi may go head to head in February, with City and Barcelona drawn against each other in the Champions League, and the 34-year-old is not expecting an easy tie despite triumphing 4-1 on aggregate last year.
He added: "All the ties are complicated; our matches against Manchester City will be very difficult."
Silva is contracted with City until 2017 while Cazorla penned a new long-term deal at Arsenal last season.
