Pope Francis commented on the terror threat facing African countries that he is set to visit during his maiden trip.

Aboard the papal flight, the pope told journalists that he does not fear insecurity and that he is only afraid of mosquitoes.

Pope asked journalist why he needed to fear for his safety. The journalist told him because there are people targeting Christians in Africa.

“There are good and bad people. To tell you the truth, the only thing I’m worried about are mosquitoes,” said Pope.
Before he returned to his seat, Pope joked, “I hope you carried your mosquito repellents!”

Pope made the comments at around 10 a.m while flying over Egypt to Nairobi, Kenya.
